another one of "those" days

My motorhome has been sitting in roughly the same place, about two blocks away, for well over a month now. Generally speaking, a person is only allowed to park a vehicle in one public spot for a week, and after that the County can deem it abandoned and impound it. This is especially true for motorhomes and recreational vehicles because they take up a lot of space, and people could actually be living in them. With this in mind I have walked by my rig every 3 or 4 days, to see if there is any mischief being done to it, and to check for notices that might be posted on the window, like this one:

Uncertain of what my ultimate plan would be, today I loaded my bike into the motorhome, then borrowed eve’s car long enough to jump start it. Parking her car, I drove the motorhome less than 2 miles to our Walmart, knowing it would be less conspicuous parked there for a couple of days. I then hopped on my bike and rode home. A few phone calls later and I was back in eve’s car, driving to Walmart to jump start the motorhome again. I drove it a few miles and dropped it off at a repair shop, walked home, then hopped on the bicycle to go back to Walmart to get eve’s car. When I arrived, I opened my backpack and realized I had left the keys to her vehicle in the motorhome, so I rode back home, got in my car and drove to the repair shop. Unfortunately the keys were not there, and just before I was about to freak out I noticed an outside pocket on my backpack, that I had not checked before. It held the keys to eve’s car! So I drove back to Walmart, parked my car and drove hers home.

Then I took a nap.

Before I went to sleep I sent eve a message, asking her to drop me off at Walmart this evening as she went to work, but that didn’t pan out. She left while I was still napping, and as much as I’d like to walk a couple of miles in the dark tonight, to retrieve my car from the parking lot, I think I’ll pass. I’ve had enough exertion for today, thank you. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed nobody messes with it and go get it in the morning.
