"I Kill Giants"


Another good movie / great concept that was well executed, but ruined by an overly-long, trite ending. They wanted to send a message; “We’re stronger than we think” and they did. And then they did it again, I guess because they thought some pretty daft people (and a younger generation, since this was marketed as being done by the same producers of Harry Potter) might not remember the message? What could have been an A - film turned into a B + at best. I’m going to keep it, but next time I watch it I think I’ll stop right after the big reveal, and leave the last 10 / ten minutes alone. I am neither daft, nor insistent on a happy ending tied up all nice in a bow and presented to me right in my face just in case I missed it!!!!

Watch it, let your heartstrings get tugged on a bit, suspend disbelief long enough to hope it’s all real and ignore those last few minutes - that’s my advice and recommendation.
