How to spot a Fake Profile By BondageLover617

How to spot a Fake Profile

Any one of these attributes might not necessarily indicate a fake profile, but most that I've seen have (or do) many of the following:

- The profile was created on the same date, or the day before, you view it.
- The photos are too good to be true. Professional looking.
- The profile has identical photos posted multiple times.
- It's a standard account; a paid account is more credible because they've spent some money on this.
- No Friends; a user with Friends is a lot more credible because they spent some time accepting Friend requests.
- The photos do not match the description, e.g.; Hair color: Blonde but the photos are of a brunette, Bra Size: 40 DD but the photos show a small-chested woman, or Race: Black but the photos show a white woman.
- Search for the photos on Tineye.*** and find they're stolen from porn, amateur, or celebrity sites.
- Too many 'Prefer not to say' answers. Seriously? You can't just admit that you smoke? Drink? Do or don't do drugs? Are single or married?
- The Introduction text does not match the multiple-choice answers, e.g. I'm a 21-year-old whose age is listed as 28. Seriously? She doesn't know how old she is?
- The profile says it's a couple, but the Introduction text is written in the first person (I like...I want...).
- The Introduction text is a ridiculous male fantasy, e.g., I love older guys, I do anything in bed, Two females hungry for thick, long lasting dick, etc.
- The Introduction text is incoherent, unrealistic (I seek for the partner the rest of my life), or written as if it were a private message to the reader (Hi, you sound nice, email me to me).
- They send you a Flirt (or Hotlist you) but they're half your age and live hundreds or thousands of miles away.

When I see a stolen or obviously-fake photo, most of the time the user has not turned off the Comments function, so I post a comment like: FAKE FAKE FAKE - photo stolen from X web site - FAKE FAKE FAKE."

Most fake profiles (from which I've gotten Flirts) are deleted by the end of the day. I'm not sure if the ALT staff deletes them (I certainly report every one), or if the scammer has gotten what they wanted and has moved on.

Fake profiles may be created by scammer/spammer users, probably looking to run a lonely hearts money scam, but doesn't it also seem likely that the ALT staff might post a few as well?

Be careful out there!

Additional information. Posted by Nisei_amai. Master Ron

Some of the fundamental signs of a fake profile, most likely generated out of country, is the grammar, sentence structure, punctuation ( or lack of them) and Red Flag words the non English speaking individuals have difficulties translating into common language.
Some examples that I have seen are:
Example with the usage of the comma, without a space applied before continuing the sentence. Then there is the,,double comma. Or the spacing ,used before the comma. And the use of the,.and the period without a spacing.
Now the first thing one would think, is that everyone makes mistakes. But these errors are consistent throughout the profile.
Some more of the Red Flag word usage is:
Am seeking. Seeking for. Seeking of. Hope to be reading from you. And the simple fact that they can not correctly spell the city and state in which the supposedly live. Or the list two cities, one in lieu of the state. Or. If they provide a zip code. It never matches the posted city. And there are a ton more. I will add the more pertinent ones as I remember them.
And remember to run all photos through a reverse image search. Either TinEye, or Google photo search. But please keep in mind. Some of the hits may be legitimate. As in Facebook, Tumbler; and even Alt.com. and the like.
However. If someone is using ripped photos. Then they are trying to hide something. Report them using the Report Abuse button just above the photo comment box.

Here is a profile that I copied verbatim, that shows a lot of the signs of being a fake account/member..
Introduction
Slave seeks nothing but Master to own her forever as his slave and personal property as i see my only goal in life is to serve and obey Master at all cost and demands i am no limits and right slave that is ready and willing to submit at your feet without return her duties is to serve and obey Master and to make Master happy,Master's sexual dreams, wishes, and fantasies must, always be fulfilled by slave as slave is ready and willing Slave to respect master's wishs and commands and respect his rules as we...Slave

My Ideal Person A master who will own me and treat me well treatment of a slave and be with that master together for a good treatment.

Thanks for reading this section. I hope that it helps in some way.
Thanks again. Master Ron

Hey Ron, there is a fake on your k9 groups called wife4taboo this time, has changed 2 other versions in a week, which I called out. It also has had at least 2 other profiles over last couple years, ones I called out.
