The other day i was visiting my dear womanfriend, She was the first Domina i ever met in real life in this small town.... i saw her, i thought, that can not be true! Does she knows, this about herself? Is she still in the closet about it..? She was at the same gym as i was, she looked soo? in controle ... she has this energy about her.. it is all there and all very natural... *she does not have to DO*, anything, she just IS. So, that is about 5 or 6 years ago, she has changed a lot, grow a lot, and so am i, i hope..... The other day, i was visiting her, drinking tea, talking about her old parents, her grown childeren en grand childeren About her slave...the meetings, party's they visit as a couple. We ended up, talking about the men in our lifes... or lack of them...  She told her ; well, sure i woud love to have a real relationship with a man. But, look around you?! If you can find one man, who is looks like anything good, call me! The men her/my age, act like they are all very, very old, and want to be taken care of. They dont do anything about their appearance anymore. Dont go to a gym dont have any pride in their appearance... anymore... they look old, they dress old, the move like old people, already... I laughed my ass of! i love her for that kind of humor! BUT, she is absolutely right! Men my age, act like the are all very aged.... Complaining about all the little pains their body gives them all the medicine they have to take... nagging about all the women who dont want them anymore, go figure... It is like listening to my great grand mother... There is no joy in meeting them, talking to them, i would not wanted be seen with them, not even dead! Sure, i know, sometimes your body can be a bitch! can give you pain and you have to just endure it. man up! But complaining, all the time, about almost everything?? so sour so lifeless so without any pride or joy anymore. A man my age, who has spirit, has power, has fun in his life... That would be a very nice surprise I dont mind if he is a widower, or is retired, as long as he has this spark about him, this joy in life! Knows how to dress nicely, that does not have to mean expensive at all. Knows how to keep himself in shape. mind, body and spirit too! Knows how to enjoy himself. Not some nagging sour moaner.... So, we agreed on the sour older men not being wanted by us, at all. Rather stay alone, than to have to take care of such a sour grouch... Ofcourse this is an exaggeration, There are still very handsome, good looking, taking pride in themselfs, men around, open to relation, too... You need a magnifying-glass, but they are out there!  I must say, living in the North of Holland makes a real big difference, in the wrong way. When i go visit the West of Holland, the men look much better taken care of, more fun, more sparkle... Know how to flirt, have fun.... know how to appreciate women.... and show it too.

Interesting, but valid point. I was just having a similar conversation with my neighbor. He is upwards to 70-something and still gets out and mows the lawn, and mine and many others. He actively controls his life. Yes, he has diabetes and has had heart surgery in the past, but you'd never know it by seeing him and how active he is. He is in better shape than some I know who are 20 years younger. I want to be like him when I I reach that age, if I am so blessed. Aging is inevitable, getting old, well, that is really a choice IMO.  Ars longa, vita brevis - Art is long, life is short
