red buttons, and belt sstory down below, |

I have this demin dress, it is rather dull. So i was looking for red buttons & belt, to spice the dress up a bit I go to this thrift shop, it has all kind of strange end and bits. it is always great to visit that shop. I saw a dress, a Betty Page dress, with red buttons! So, i thought, i buy that dress and get the buttons off that dress to put on the demin dress.... At home, i decided to try that dress on, first. It fitted me, as a glove! it is a bit long, far beyond the knee..length It is also grey with red embroidery. Absolute NOT my colour, at all! It does not have sleaves.... But it is a lovely dress! So, now i have an other "problem", to fix... lol i think i will show it to a friend of mine, see what she says about it! The dress have been lying around at some attick i believe, because it smells a bit musty. There is also no wash advise in the dress. But it fits soo nicely. I will see if i can put a picture of this dress on here, somewhere.... In the oncoming days.... I find it much too cold, here, to wear a dress without sleaves.... So, now, all of the sudden, i need to go look for some red something to wear on top of that dress.....?I I like such a treasure find/ hunt.

Lol, it sounds like you had a good find on your treasure hunt.

I would love to see that dress. While it may say no wash, you may be able to dry clean it to get the musty smell out.

Looking to solve one problem, and creating another for yourself, giggle.nnTgese are the trials of shopping for clothes, and having alteration ideas. I am 3xactly the same. A nice little bolero cardigan may go well with the dress,

cdKristen, Yes, that is an option too, dry cleaning. I first want to show it to that friend of mine, see what she thinks of it?!

tsarah, I hope too! lol. tomorrow i am going to that woman friend, and maybe the dress will be put on here?? who knows? After trying on that demin dress again, i decided to trow it out, it is too dull, for my taste, anyway..... goes in the recycle bin, hopefully someone else is going to be happy, with it!?
