Family consultation We got this Sinterklaas party coming.... saterday 4 december. BUT, since the coroni numbers are rising again! here in Holland. They pulled the lockdown on us, again !this time it is partial lockdown.  The first and secont lockdown did not have any effect on the numbers! But, héy, it seems to be the only thing they can think of..... bleagh! Anyway, the family is in a state of panic, because this Sinterklaas party is not going to happen! You are allowed to have 4 visiters in your house. We would have been with 19 people! They say, the are the ones who spread the virus, there would have been 4 small in the house. So, after some long mail, app communication and all that, my brother in law decided, it is not a good plan! just let s cancel this ! I already thought, this is not going to happen! Just because of all the ever changing rules all the time! Now, the shops can stay open till 20:00 and theater and pubs nieed to close at 17:00 While the shops and the theater/ pubs dont have a high number of outbreaks! Totall madness! I know, i know, they think they have to do something..... But, overhere, that is not working, at all! So, no family gathering, no SInterklaas party. we wll see if we can have a party next year, or next year, or next year! Corona is not going a way , very soon. I believe it will be like the flu, a very bad kind of flu. It will stay. Now i am going to send the gifts by post to my sister and her husband. It is, at least something we can do. It is a pitty i cant see their faces, when they unwrap the gifts! |

I already now what my gift is going to be! and i will still act like i am totally surprised! Just to stay in the mood of Sinterklaas!

Rosa, Sorry to hear that, we just had travel suspended again, but only from south africa. Now the papers say travellers from africa are taking second stops in other countries to get around the restrictions. brandygirasol, You'll ruin the surprise if you tell them what you're giving them .. and don't forget to wrap it, I think a nice floral shower of profanity would do the job.

Brandy, Gir!!!, you have nó idea how much i would like to do that, too! BUT, most of the people who had the needle, dont want to listen. Most of them, think they are without any danger, they are safe, are almost saint like, can go and do what ever they want, travel to Afric or any other country....

chameolen, I know, now they are coming into Holland, by arabic airlines... The people infected with this new variation (?) are mostly all pricked.... and spreading this new 'what ever'.... Because they think they are safe! And blaming the non pricked folks....

jenny, Down here, it is totall madness, almost every one with óne working braincell, knows by now, that the former rules did not work, either, so now we have to role play this again.... It would be nice! if the governemt just would say, we dont know how to controle this, we are making this up, while we go... have no idea about the outcome! Thát would be honest and then people can make their own choices....on their own responsibility. Now we are being f*cked over, and over again and the trust in this government is very low... no trust anymore in those. There is, also, a lot of money going on, in this game, there are people who are getting filthy rich from selling those not working masks, "vaxxins".... etc. Every one needs to do, what they think is best for them. Not blaming others when they dont follow the same path...

I dont mind that this whole party is not going on, at all. I think this is much harder for the little children... This whole corona thing have been ruining a lot of their socalled normal social circle and securities of their lives.... I dont like big family gatherings, with people i dont know at all. Not meeting my sister is what i dont like about this. But i can meet her, any other time and place of our choice.
