Why do people...? In the hospital, we had to go to all kind of doctors. And these adults, all with a Academic, university background, All showed the same behaviour, when they found out, their way of talking Dutch is way too complicated, for the level of Understanding Dutch, my Chinese friend has.. ALL of them started shouting! That same, complicated Dutch, with a lot of difficult words.... Why?? For crying out loud? As if, -shouting- makes it, all of the sudden, understandeble?? How stupid can you get? They are SOO stuck in their Academic way of -being important- talking... I did not want to make a fush... Because we where allready in shock... But, my god!! Also, not one info was in any other language, then Dutch! They have a lot of work to do... This is in a very multi culty city! We are going to get in a marathon, visiting this Hospital, so i think, i am going to do some suggestion to them. About this..... Also, Again! I asked, if, just MAYBE, maybe, this reaction of her lympe gland, could maybe, have something to do, with THE VACCIN....? Just maybe....? Again, this doctor, too. Denied the possibility YEAH! the cover-up story works wonders!!!! I kept eye contact with this doctor, and, she knew... she did not know, enough, about this vaccin, to be able to say that... Her behaviour became very uncomfortable.. RIGHT! She knew, that i knew, she knows shit about this. Point made, more was not needed. We had a very good interpreter...translating everything, asking a lot of questions, too. She was a bit taken back, with my question.... We got an overload of info, Just Too much, to take it all in. Being in shock, makes your brain shot off... Not knowing, understanding a language, is terrible. Your life is a bit flat... You miss all the different layers of that language, the humor, subtle, but strong ways of knowing, saying things... I am going to take care, that this translating woman is with every meeting, we are going to have. With ALL doctors! I dont want to witness an other shouting match, again. They need to be much more subtle, with my friend. This is about HER body- not theirs. |

4Faksake, I know, and once you are submitted to this factory, called hospital, you have to be on your guard, watch out, for them, making YOUR/her decisions. I understand your idea about birthdays and cakes, i dont give much about the whole 'social show-up'- act. You have to cold turkey those wallabies! on dry bread! I have that with the crows, i gave them walnuts, and now they refuse to eat the peanuts!

I find, that once you're "submitted to this factory, called hospital,", it's like you're caught in a web in which there seems to be no way out....either you're referred to another doctor, or sent for tests, or something. The only way to make it stop is just refuse to do anything further. Yeah, birthdays are overrated.

Well, I for one, will wish you a Happy Birthday!

We don't need translators here. You talk into a box and it speaks what you say in their language. Dont expect an ER doctor or a General Practitioner to know much about molecular biology or virology. It's not their field of study. As far as any knowledge of any particular vaccine. They are only going to know what the drug companies tell them in their medical pamphlets. When you talk about a lymph gland being swollen, is it one in particular, all of them? or a specific group? All that's relevant information. I can guarantee that if those glands are swollen there are other areas of the body being affected and the glands are swollen because they are reacting to something thats affecting those areas.(excluding cancers that use the lymphatic system as a transport mechanism and infect it) I can think of half a dozen thing that could cause that. I'm not a doctor and I'm only experienced giving breast exams. Seriously I have had a lot of medical classes.

Wow, My doctor's and the hospital they are affiliated with have a staff of translators. That's part of patient care, making sure the patient understands everything. Maybe that's the trade-off with the universal health care many countries other than the US offer. Less concern and care for the patient's needs.

Was this in the "Free World" or "Wally World" you have me wondering. This sounds so familiar. Sounds like things I hear from my friends in Arizona.

pkzw, There are these two magic words. Almost every doctor is afraid of. And that is saying, you want a second oppinion! They feel that, most of the time, as a personal attack. And back off. (and some do get angry at you, too) Because by saying those magic words, You, as "the patient"/ means; brain dead, takes the power back on your side of the table. They hate that! They, in their allmigthy behaviour, totally forget that some people, do have a very good contact with their body and knów what is good for them, or not! Most of the time, they ignore that, totally! You know: mind&body&soul? They want to be the allmighty, all knowing, fully admired, semi halve gods, bla bla bla.... Well, you know? When they wake up, their breath is not smelling or roses either and they have to sh*t too.... So, get off your allmighty misconception cloud of yourselves! Just my oppinion of the medical world....

always, You must be kidding? Reallt? Hmm.... Also in Maderin Chinese? Yes, it is one gland, but the source maybe lying some where else, in the same area... mouth, throat, In the same area, but an other loccation... That is why they want a scan, to locate the source, so to say.... Yes, it is cancer. after that, they are making a plan, to decide, if it is going to be a operation, only, or an operation and radiation treatment....or...? With all the heavy side effects with it! Hmm, breast exams, he?!

rondiri There was a bit of a mix-up with the communication, IN DUTCH! so the interpreter did not know, she was hired for more hours! I demanded, there will be a translater the whole day, for my friend, for the next appointments! They have to hire her/ him, they have a budget for it. No shouting games! anymore!
