WAR! I dont mean all the other wars in the world I mean a close up and sort of personal war! i have had it, with the slugs! I tried evertyhing! I dont want to spoil beer on them! I dont want to destroy them with salt. Or boiling water, that is soo rude, in my eyes' But now it is graveyard time! I am killing them all! I just cut them in two. THe ants love the corpses. The wasps eat the leftovers, too It might be bad for my karma, but i am done with those animals! ALthough i feel a bit bad about this action, i also feel released that i dont have to be afraid anymore, to come in the garden in the morning and find every new plant been eaten!! War to the slugs! They come in very beautiful colours, there is one species that has a kind of tiger stripe and there are a very light brown, almost orange, and a very black one too. Enough is enough! It is also a very strange year, spring, too much rain, too cold ,then all of the sudden, 2 to 4 days really crazy hot! Then, again some really cold days with very strong winds, very cold And back to crazy hot again And alway, always a Very high humidity! Drives you nuts! I think the slugs loved it. |

You get a small drinking cup. Bury it in the ground. Pour some cheap beer in it and by morning the entire cup will be filled with slugs. But to be honest I did not like killing them. I am a real softie.

slugs hate the smell of geraniums, mint an garlic, foxgloves an fennel.

rider, I also dont like killing them, BUT they are in abundance!! There is nothing stopping them! Or i could just pour some concrete and paint it green>???? Make that my garden?  Hahaha not ever!

kalbi Believe me, i tried, used all those things! Except for the DE, i geuss that is poison? Chemical treatment? I believe they, the slugs, just laugh at me and start eating all my sweet ,nice new baby plants and grown ups, too!
