Getting my gear together, For my traveling, i wanted to have some sort of rechargeable radio, flashlight and something to charge my phone with. Well, i got that! it is such a small great radio, charger, power bank, flashlight, reading light too,... I do adore it. Take it with me, everywhere i go, in my house. And, although it is a very small radio, 349 grams, 18,7 x 7,8 x 11,3 the sound is pretty good!! Have already bought some real great bike bags, with lifetime Warranty... Have a great cooking set. I can cook on wood and gel, and those pressed blocks of ?,... with it, isnt that great!!

In Spain and Portugal, France, maybe too, you are not allowed to cook on wood, because of fire hazzard, in the hot season. I dont want to start a forest fire!

when my friend and I cycle vacationed, we usually rode bnb's along the trail. Sounds like a great adventure awaits. I was riding in the black hills and saw rattle snakes and mountain lion tracks... that was my fastest ride ever, lol. Ride safe.

drmgirl, Yes, i like it that way.... Take the time, to really, really think things over... There are soo many nice gadgets, but do i really nééd them?? Thát is the question!

Boh, Hmm i can inmaging that! I partially gonne use the tracks of this pelgrim route... ; Santiago de Compestalla. Those tracks are very well travelled.. That starts in Holland and goes through Belgium, France and then i take a turn and go to the South of Spain.. going to pass the mountains by the Mediterranean. Maybe gonne work on farms, on the way.... Or house sitting...? I am open to what ever good, comes on my path.... I am planning on going camping by a farmer...or a real campsite, maybe... Thank the Lords, we dont have mountain lions here. But we do have wild boar..... ssstttt!! I take with me a big sturdy stick, because wild dogs have a tendency to attack people too, if they think they make a chance.... All kind of adventures!! Thank you.

brandy, Sure! i have some stock for on the way, i can always buy stuff on the way.. Try out all kind of dishes, at home, first, to make on the way, that are easy to cook and delicious, too. Have those ingredients with me, for on the road. I have a water purifier with me, too... and some bottled water. Herbs too, to spice up my food.

not only dogs and wild boars but also deers also can make that trip interesting with their big weapon on their head which we must avoid...

hungaroboy, Hahaha, i did not think about those! I am going to use a very well used track, i dont think deers will use those tracks. In Portugal there are a lot of wild dogs, ganging up on lonely people, attacking them.. Especially in the evening.... twilight time. I met such a gang of semi wild dogs, thank the lords, they were not really close, i saw them, roaming around on this hill.... I decided it was time for me, to get into the vicinity of the house again....  I am not that easily scared... just smart...

Be careful to cook outside if using the blocks, as the fumes are poisonous - I believe they're called hexamine blocks. I like the sound of your radio/torch/charger - I've got one that is both solar and wind-up, so a very useful device. D-J xx

davina, Thanks for the warning! i dont like to use these blocks, there is, mostly enough dead wood lying around, to make a fire with. Or use that gel stuff, i dont like that either! lol Yes! i forget to mention, this radio has a wind-up function too. But it takes a whole day, to charge it that way... Where i go, there is enough sunlight to charge it with, or when on a camping site, charge it the old fashion way.. plug it in.
