This "job" i seem to have?

Working at the Salvation Army workshop is alright.

I learn a lot, and also remember a lot.
The guy who is suppost to teach me, is very strict in his ways.
That does not make the learning any easier....

I told him, i am not totally cleuless, you know?
i do know a thing or two about repairing bikes...

He is an old guy, so, did not grow, develop with societies changes.... alas
All kind of prejudices about women, among other groups...
tiresome......

Very racistic.... although he himself is from India....
strange, isnt it?

Anyway, he enjoys it when i dont have enough muscle power to do things his way.

So, i told him, i am used to do thing, differently, because that way, it works better for me.

He is flabbergasted by that idea! LOL

Pfff.....
Anyway, although i consider this some sort of volenteerswork
i get paid!
Not much, more like a reimbursement.
I was totally surprised by that.

in the interview to get my info into their system, i asked if it is a problem that i have a criminal record?
No murdering, killing or things like that, more political orientated...

This guy laughed and said; no, we even welcome it!!
LOL
My kind of people!

I work two days a week, because i have other activities going on.
I do like it, there

They also have a thrift shop, in the same building, so it is very handy.
When there is not much to do, because this guy is very slow, i go shopping in the thrift shop
Found a nice skirt, today,

There is this other guy working there, too.
He once offered to take me on a bike ride, if he could after that, get him some pussy!!
Moronic imbecile!
So i told him my mind.

He does not how to behave himself around me, does not know where to look....
I just greet him, in the morning, and ignore him the rest of the day
He acts like he is very uncomfortable around me.LOL
Serves him right.

treu colours. always comes out, any time, all times.

I learn every day something, again.

It makes a difference that i, once, already did give maintenance courses

I like to get my hands dirty!

Try and keep an open mind, you can still learn from IJA. Even if it's from watching their mistakes. Beware of incompetent noobs claiming too be a mechanic. My little sis wanted to take auto shop class in high school, but our mom had a fit over it. It's great to see women not afraid of getting their hands dirty. I wish you the best in your adventures.

sounds likke a normal job... the old guy is worried you are trying to take his job and Indians do not like working with women, think comes from their caste system, ( I have Indians where I work as well, from India).
Enjoy your weekend!

A woman's work is NEVER done! And somehow, rarely appropriately appreciated.

Be well, rosaenaluin.

boh,
even as a small girl, like 4 or 5 years or so, i always wanted to play with the mechanical play tools my brother got for his birthday.
My brother had this wooden play, with wich you could build bridges and things like that! I loved it!!
With real wooden tools, like a screwdriver and a hamer, baco and such.

I found playing with dolls, very stupid and brain numbing.
So, you can put on an other dress..... And then what?? Boring!

I liked to learn how to fix and make things. was not really appreciated in my family, alas
Was not girly behaviour, was not healthy... boring..

likeithot,
That is what i was thinking, too.
( i have this Indian woman friend, the way she talks about Indian men is really very enlighting! ) about their character... lazy as fuck!

He behaves very nasty toward other folks working in the bike repair shop, there too.
Just down right nasty.
The way he talks about his ex wife is also not really nice...

He has some real deep mental problems, i guess...
I can always talk about this with the staff...

If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman... or something like that and I think it was Margaret Thatcher who said that... you go girl, keep learning and being the best you - you can be

Exname
Hahah, yes,
in Africa they say, give the money to the women, they will make is spread among the community, make the whole communitty stronger, better.
Take care that the girls go to school, finish school, they will help prosper the whole community...

give the money to men, and they will use it for their own.. not sharing, not making the whole community stronger......
cough.......
