I think these use " Hexamine " blocks which can be quite volatile personally I would go for a small foldable gas stove ! Safe travelling !!!!

When we used to go outdoors we usually took that camping mini gas stove thing... not taking too much space and easy to use... hope this thing you are planning will work well for you, dear Rosa

I never saw a stove like that.......

You can use wood and gel to cook on. I dont want to use those gas containers, they take in too much space. I know those gas containers, used them before, while camping. This one, you can fold into a small flat package. Build it up, when you want to cook, or make some tea.

lancylad, I can use small pieces of wood, i can harvest on the way, if necessary. Have some good tinder with me, to start a fire. i can also use such a little small bricket to start the fire.. and put wood in it, later on. I take with me a gel burner too, because in the hot season, it is not allowed to make "open fire" in the outdoors, in France, Spain and Portugal. So, then i have to use the gel burner.. Dont like it, but it is always better then staying one night at the police station?!

drmgirl Ooh, they have such a lot of fancy camping gear! nowadays. You would not believe your eyes! This is durable, strong and you can fold it into a small space.
