Elections, So, it did happen, most people did voted, 86 % or something like that...? and the winner is.... funeral music, please. Our right wing, anti moslims, anti womens rights, ( to abortus) won. I was in shock! How could that happen?! I even shouted at my radio; NO! You must know, that this man, called Wilders, is himself a victum of the War in Indonesia, his parents, and then, especially his mother, was victum of the very rude, cruel methods of the Japanese to torture those women, also sexual. it was very brutal times. Men got a hard time too, but almost never in a sexual way... In those horrid camps. So, he is a victum, second generation victum.. He dyes his hair blond, but if you look at his eyes, and his overall face structure, you see a indonesian boy... He denies his own background, most probably, because that is the only way he can handle it. He has post traumatic stress syndrome... And that geezer is going to run this country? He has been the opposition for years now, always atacking the moslim population, in Holland> We, the government did bring those moslims here, because our own folks did not want to work in those factories anymore, dont wont to do all that physical, dirty, heavy labor. Stop that train! I am leaving, i wanne get of! No good can come from this. |

He has been in opposition, for so long, i dont believe he is capable to form a real government. Back to the dark ages.....

I totally feel you Rosa, also in the USA we have a faction of anti- Americans that want to be ruled by a dictator and reverse the progress back hundreds of years. I feel Like it's the 1930s history being repeated again. Our elections are now who is the lesser of 2 evils, it's really disheartening to have to watch and live this nightmare.

bikerforslut, All the political moves go in waves, from left wing, rights to everyone, very open minded, and tolerant. To the right wing, very rigid, very narrow minded, very afraid for anything, that is not as "they" are, so hunting "them" down, victim making, alienating, Them, versus us, so to speak. Time and time again, you see those movements in history.... with all the dangers, hate with it....

In the UK it looks like we will have a choice !!!!! Between Blue tories & Red tories ! The country has gone mad & Farage sees himself as the leader of the Blue tories !!!! I can't cope !!!!

Rosa, Nothing bad happened. It is one thing to shout in opposition and another thing is when you have to govern. See the Italian prime minister who was against immigration in opposition, and now, she accepts every "immigrant" beggar almost everyone without considering that we are not the croesus. A typical turncoater like Hungarian liberals who shouted against the communists in the 1970-80s and then in 1994 they laid into the same bed (formed a coalition government) with the successor of the same communist party against which they talked 5-6 year before. And it was for one reason: not to allow a very-very mild right-leaning government to continue its course. What is the result? Nobody believes to any party, any ideology, cinicism rules everyone - including me. And, the very big consequence is today's Hungarian government. And this shall be thanked to liberals and former communists who badly lived with their chense in the government from 1994-98 and 2002-2010. So, this is not the end of the world. Gert have contacts in Hungary, so, I think something good can come out of this. Nobody knows the future, I also do not. And one more thing: you shall - and everyone shall - put into his brain that extreme political formations occur when the mainstream governed a country into a crysis. If you feel yourself well in your skin it does not mean that others are feeling the same. History is beautiful but human need to read from it which is an art.
