Today,

I wanted to work on my own bike,
because the back light still was not working.

I dont know, what happened, but, before, the light was just working pretty fine,
no problemo at all

All of the sudden, the light stopped working, the SOUR, man, did try to fix it,
but he is too lazy to really work it out.
Just throws in an other "solution", that does not fix the light at all.

So, i worked it out, put some new wire in it, right through the frame, inside the frame.
That was a hell of a job!
But, with the help of an other man, working there, we fixed it.

really working to solve this problem, together!!
That felt soo good!
You know, be open to the suggestion, the other gives, or i gave...
listen and work it out.

Eventually, i found the solution for this wire thing, getting it through the frame.
What a job!!
It took us, almost the bigger part of the day.
Then, i had to put the back wheel back in, and all the other parts too...

I forgot some spare parts to adjust, but that was not a big structual problem, more a visual aspect.
just something i will pick up on, finish, next teusday.

Finally, my back light is working as it use to be!

Yeah, together with this other collleague.

He is cool, he just tells me, you can do it this way or that way, here are the tools,
go ahead and do it.
See for yourself, what works best for you.

Comes back to check in, on me, if i get it done.
All very relaxed.

It is not so much about that i dont know how,
but it is more about building convidence, that i can fix it.

Because, well, i did fix bikes before.

It was a nice day.
Although the weather was horrible, i was inside, the most of the day,
so, no worries.

Nice to hear you're learning more all the time. I have found good info online sometimes. My newest hobby is antique lawn tractors, I found lots of good info on U- tube. It's satisfying to repair and use things almost as old as I am. They really did build things too last back then. Good luck in your journey, and don't let the Ole sour man discourage you!!

electrosex,
Há, we tried that trick, but that did not work, very well, due to the bend in the frame of the bike... struggling with that, we found an other solution.
After three tries, we found the best way to tackle that problem...

Well that is life...

There are men..And some women that don't want to help or just listen..

So they throw out the whole kitchen sink at your issue..hoping your problem/ you will just go away

I doubt your light was your only issue..

You needed to work with someone, you needed to talk, you needed to work as a team..

And funny how your problem got solved

biker,
It is indeed, it is still possible, to repair those very old machines.
Not so much, with all the electronical shit, nowadays, in a lot of cars.

electrosex,
Yes, i know that system, with three wires, for safety, only for apparatus witch could get in contact with water...
like in a kitchen and bathroom.
Otherwise, just two wires, in the living room, etc....
