I thought so.....

This workplace is organised by The Salvation Army.
They serve lunch, every day.
Just a very simple hot meal.

The two men, who cook for everyone, just make very simple, mostly pre fab food...

As i thought, for almost all the people working there, it is their ONLY real meal, of the day.

Things like fruit or, real fresh cut vegies?
Or, herbs....?

I asked this R person, those strange things, 😉, called: fruits?
Do you take them?
Or fresh vegies?
His answer; after first, thinking about it; Nah, not so.....

Aah, well......

I take my own hot meals with me.
I cant eat their "food"...

Almost every day, they eat patatos, those are nightshades, i dont eat those...
Or cook pasta, wheat, i dont eat, that either....
And, always meat!!
The cheap kind of meat... sausages and the likes.... always almost pork...

It is great, that people, working there, can get this one hot meal!

They do what they can...

I believe, that if i should cook there, they wont eat it!

Too strange, too much different tastes in one mouthfull.

not the dutch way of cooking; patato, vegies, meat.
Aaah, well....

The old fellas i look after were almost living on bacon, sausage , ham anggs ad hashbrowns, I madethem a deal, if they ate what i got them, i make them a big breakfast of eggs , homemade pan fries and their choice of meat twice a wek.

As others said, it is good you help and the poor can get a decent meal!

To give a helping hand is often mutually rewarding. Acts of kindness are good for the soul. You can feel the goodness.

marshamay,
Aah, that sounds like a real good deal!
I am not the cook, there....

and not planning on to become their cook...
The two men are doing just fine, for a very simple meal.

jenny,
I agree,
i am just working on the bikes, that come in.
Those two men, who cook those meals, are doing fine.

It is just not what i am use to eat, i use a lot of herbs, ginger, garlic, a lot of green herbs, too...
and always fresh vegies, they use preserves vegies.
It is a very good thing, at least those people get one hot meal a day.
