1st ever blog..Judgment day?

Ok here goes...

Being deaf and using a keyboard mostly as my only social outlet, it can be so hard to add meaning to written words. I don't really ever use the Sir/Master thing or the D/s thing but i do use the odd emote. I remember my speech therapist saying to me around 70% of communication is through gestures and body language and facial expression (Tho she may have told me this to cheer me up haha)

Although I'm sure a lot is lost in translation when > I/we < type, for some of us its our primary language even tho we are far from perfect at it and don't always know how to reply in a socially submissively acceptable or passively positive way

I'm naturally a very passive, submissive creature and not confident when I'm approached in day to day life be people i don't already know as facial expressions a lot of the time turn very quickly when they realize I am different to a look of confusion or despair like I am from another planet haha

Please don't read this as a cry for help, its just me venting small frustrations about daily barriers i have...

Hope to continue this blog and I guess to some it may be dull and boring but if anyone wants to comment positively or negatively on this you are more than welcome

I have been asked, if it was theoretical to loose ones sight or hearing, which would I choose. I have almost always said, my eyesight. Because sight allows a certian dimentsion, but images do not always communicate as well as sound. I love music andwouldhave to no longer hear music or in particular the human voice which does express more than just words. Body language does express something too.

MY best friend, suffered from hearing loss at an early age, but with current hearing aids, she can hear some. Yet, she can express herself articially wiht art and a camera more than many no hearing impaired people can. I have known on other submissive who was hearing impaired. She used sign and the written word. Her written word expressed plenty.

You have expressed yourself rather well in just one blog. I look forward to reading more from you. I have no doubt your opinions, understanding, observations and view points are refined in way those of us who can hear can't do as well.

Do not hesitate to ask questions.

Having pointed out this one element of your life, I will caution you on this and similar sites. Don't reveal too much. In particular, do not reveal you preferences, your limits and such. If your considering an involvement, let the prospective partner reveal their experience, opinions, limits, preferences, expectations viewpoints and such to you. You do the questioning in direct or subtle ways. Ask the questions repeatedly (and n different ways) and look for consistency. Way too many guys are looking for novices to take advantage of. Also, they are skilled at parroting back what yo want to hear if you tell them too many things.

Because you do rely on the written word, be careful not to take on line stores or role play as realistic. It generally is not. It is not overly useful in learning about all of this. It is good for entertainment. You may have the experience to know about the cautions I mentioned. So I may be preaching to choir.

Again, I look forward to your blogging. Best to you.

There is no burden in being deaf, the burden is on others who cant see through a person and how they look, there is more to a person than a visual glance at someone, good blog though
