Miss Kat and I would like to invite you to the opening of Our newest venue, "The Sex Club & Dungeon - Peterborough".

As I posited in My previous blog post:
There aren't enough "True" Dominants available, so the demand is high. To fill this void, submissives are being badgered into performing as Dominants, which is out-of-character to them, so they typically do a mediocre job. And because there are so many mediocre and so few quality Dominants around, more subs are being pushed into the role, and the problem perpetuates itself. There are also a large number of wannabe Dom/mes who seek the prestige, power, and respect commanded by the position. But saying you are one doesn't mean you are...
The reason I bring this up again is:
Because there are a VERY limited number of "True" Dominants available, They can demand-- and are willingly given-- tributes for Their time, Their attention, Their energy. And thus are Pro-Dommes born...
...And that's ALSO why Professional Domination DOES NOT equate to . Capable Pro-Dommes don't need sex to attract a long line of willing submissives.
Therefore, although eroticism and arousal are an integral aspect of a Pro-Domme's session, for traditional Domina, sex does not enter the picture.

Are True Dom/mes Made or Born?

I know at least 3 Dom/mes that are trying to turn subs into Dom/mes. They are attempting --through varying degrees of coercion, persuasion, and imagination-- to turn submissives born to the role into something they are not: Dominant.
Why? For a spectrum of reasons, but most seem to revolve around Supply-and-Demand. It is My observation that despite the large number of Dominants in any fet community, there are a select few who are in highest demand and have more devotees than They can handle while the vast majority of Dominants float around "unclaimed".
Once again, I have absolutely no evidence to prove the following theory -- nevertheless, I think it is accurate:

This begs the question: are "True" Dominants Born? --Or Made?
For me, the answer is cast in stone: Dom/mes are Born, not Made. If a Dom/me wasn't insufferably dominant from the ground, up --as evidenced by a long unbroken history of RULING playgrounds, classrooms, boardrooms and social settings-- then THEY AREN'T REAL DOM/MES. If They don't instantly and significantly impact a room the second They enter it, if They don't command respect with just a look, if They don't dare to stand eye-to-eye and nose-to-nose with the most imposing authority figures of the vanilla world (judges, police, political heads) then They are simply NOT "TRUE" DOMINANTS.
Now think about it: how many Dominants do YOU know that meet these criteria?
Not many, and THAT'S why so many Dom/mes are being Made.
