Fake profiles are becoming more and more a pest.

As we all (should) know people behind a fake profile are usually males pretending to be a female. I can only speak for the mainly male hetero/bisexual dominant members who are looking for female submissives. My guess is that for other sexual preferences it won't differ very much (correct me if I'm wrong).

This website has a very low treshhold for becoming a member. On one side that's good because it's easy to create a profile and thus becomimg a member. The downside is, there's hardly, if any, decent control to check, or at least do an attempt, whether a profile is real.
Gold diggers paradise?? For free.

The picture of me in this blog is a fake (obviously. I didn't remove the watermark) and I found a whole bunch of sexy looking men and women within 20 sec on internet. It took me 5 sec to download it and upload it for this blog.
It's that simple.

Creating a profile on Alt, especially if you create say, 2 a day, takes probably not more than 10 minutes taking into account that the people behind it know the texts by heart after a while.
Some of them are lazy and their profiles easy to recognize, others put more work into it and are a bit harder (but not by much).

There's a bit of a difference between a fake profile and a scammer.
The people behind a fake profile are most of the time keeping you busy, some of them are after your money.
Scammers are always after your money.

Here's a list of tips&tricks how to recognize them.
I guess it will cover about 90 - 95 % of all these profiles (again, corrrect me if I'm wrong). My 'viewed you' list contains about 70 % fake profiles, my hotlisted you and flirted with you lists even more.

* Always sexy, hot profile pictures from a stunningly beautiful woman.
Taken by a professional. No way a selfie. It varies between 1 and 3 photo's sometimes combined with a video of the same woman.

* usually 1 to 5 friends and/or 1-3 fans. I did some research and those 'friends' and 'fans' were used quite often in a lot of fake profiles. Probably 'quiet' profiles only to be used for that purpose to create a more real profile.

* Always read the status and profile texts. The status text is usually one who catches your attention (and make your fantasy take the best of you).
The profile text is 99 % of the time just a meaningless text. The words:
Honest, Sincere, Loyal, LTR, (No Limit) Slave, Lifetime, Sweet, Caring, Relocate etcetc are always used in their profile.

* Poor use of the English language combined with wrong spelled words

* you can run a check whether the pictures and video's are from someone else. Also use your common sense: it's highly unlikely to near impossible that that beautiful woman will make a profile on this website, looking for attention and more. Here's a link to a YouTube instruction video how to use TinEye. www.youtube.com/watch?v=btyrDhyGdtg
.
This app, in combination with Google's Reverse Image Search will give a near 100% score if that picture is used earlier and where it originates from
In short: use you common sense and don't just stare at that picture.
Always read the profile (even standard members can read enough to recognize the usual words and poor use of the English language.

In case you haven't recognized a fake profile and started a chat with 'her' (is that even possible with IM these days??), after a short while of a nice talk they will ask you for other ways to keep in touch (because you're the one they were always looking for and more of that crap). They are always telling you that you're exactly the one they we looking for all these years.
They suggest most of the time hangout, but Skype and WhatsApp are also popular. KIK not that much.
Asking why they want to get private so quickly , you won't get a logical answer. When you persist they will tell you that you're probably not the one. They keep doing that until you 'surrender'.
When this happens loud alarm bells are ringing!
It's a different thing when you have had already contact for a while with someone and want to become more private. Then there's some level of trust and honestly and more sincere mutual interest.

As I said before, sometimes they just want to have fun with you. They will never cooperate to have a kinky chat. Your questions are answered with questions.

Sometimes they have a different strategy and are after your money. Heartbreaking stories of being stuck in an African Country without money to go back home and eventually to you. Well you get what I mean. I think most of us, especially in the beginning, were subject of these people practises. I was anyway.

And then there's a special kind of fakers on Alt. Usually the guy behind it, did set up a fake female profile. Using more common pictures, most likely selfies he found on internet. Some of them are pretty often on cam. I know two older guys who's cams are always black and they will only respond to female members, pretending they're a lesbian. A sick way to get in contact with women imhu.
I know this because out of curiousity I watched the public 'discussion' on their camsession for a while. Black screen always until the cover fell off and you could see an older guy behind his laptop. Within 2 sec the camsession ended. It happend with both guys. I found it amazing to discover how many friends they had collected. Both over 300. So, in general when you see only a black screen be cautious. If you're interested in their profile I will give them to you in a comment on your note here.

Finally, when I'm sure I see a fake/ scammers profile on the homepage, I always write FAKE/SCAM ALERT!!! as a comment on their status. A few persistent fake ones have blocked me to leave a comment eventually. I guess that if I was mistaken (i'm not perfect), they'd have sent me a message. I encourage everybody do the same thing, repeatedly. Again, I can provide you with their profile on request.

As i said earlier: if you have additional tips or tricks write it as a comment below.

Hey, be careful out there
