The cage is small and cramped. There is no way out. Noone knows when the door will be opened, but it's guaranteed to never be completely comfortable inside. The wait continues. The metal bars are cold, and an hour can feel like an eternity.

The sting of that split second when the skin puts up resistance to the needle entering, and then feeling the cold metal slide inside the flesh, before meeting resistance again to come out the other side. The way it aches, sitting inside the flesh that it pierced, all before coming out and allowing tiny warm drops of blood to spill forth from the holes that it left.

That spike in pain as the initial pinch squeezes the sensitive skin slowly gives way to a dull ache. It seems that it can't get any worse until the clamp is released, and the blood rushing back into the skin triggers all the nerves at once, releasing the most pain yet.

I love the sound that a nice, heavy paddle makes while it swings through the air, and the resounding smack that it makes when it connects. They leave nice, big, dark bruises that are so much fun to look at.

I love how visceral chains and cuffs are. The total helplessness of fighting back against them, and the way they jingle during movement, especially struggling. The sound is just as much a part of their appeal as their ability to keep one in place.

Hot wax is so much fun. The tension as you wait for the wax to melt, and the sudden sting of heat when it lands, cooling into the dried shape of whatever it landed on, and then doing it all over again.
