Fake Blog Posts - Is it ALT or are they just allowing bots to take over?

Would like to hear from any users (who are actually real), and who have been on the site for a while.
I really have two questions:
1) Has it always been blatantly obvious that 90% of the users are fake bots?
2) Is it ATL that is managing the bots to make it look like there are more members, or are they just turning a blind eye to other companies that creating the fake accounts?
I have been on the site for roughly 48 hours and every...single...message I get is a fake account The message is a variation of this text - can't believe you are this close to me. I am in your area, and I am horny. Send me your email (or whatsapp) and lets ____"
Sorry, there is one other factor... the grammatical errors as well.
I am wondering if members that have been on here a while are having the same experience, or is it only newer accounts since they are less likely to automatically assume the messages are fake? Anyone?
