There are many chat rooms that are clear that they are for doing, not talking. And yet, a browse of the available scroll suggests that more time is spent talking than doing. Why? Is someone reluctant to make the first move? to make it clear they are looking for a play partner? Or are the demographics in the room such that is it clear that a move would be considered inappropriate or considered unwelcome? I don't know. Add in that this is all virtual - engaged in activity of creativity and imagination - which should free us to be more adventuresome, not less. Oh well.

One word - fabulous. They both shot spectacularly and both cheered the other and each presented the best of sportspersonship. An it is the second signal event for women in a week, the first being Caitlan Clark's setting a new standard for points scored by a female college basketball player. Three cheers for excellence.

A lot can happen in three months. On the down side, there are rooms/interest groups that I enjoyed being a part of that are no longer here. One of them was one of the few devoted to - gasp - actual conversation and I will really miss that one. And it seems clear that some Alt-izens I knew to chat with and play with are also gone and I wish them the best. There are many people who were on Alt 3 months ago (and maybe longer) and are still on Alt. I admire their devotion and commitment to finding and experiencing whatever they are looking for here. Alas, there are still fakes and frauds - oh well. Some things change; others don't (or do so subtly you don't notice) ; and there is life writ large.
