Six months between blogs.............perhaps a little too long!!!!!!!!

There hasn't been much enthusiasm to blog here of late as people just dont seem to be interested in what one has to say anymore.

In times past a blog was a good way to vent anything that was disturbing or upsetting to the individual here used to be a good place to write and once upon a time, people used to take the time to come and to read and even perhaps a comment every now and again.

We quite often read others' blogs and add the occasional comment, but even over the last few months, up to the last year, people writing even seems to of slowed........

So am on a mission, to at least try and to blog more often, and not the periodical time of six months that it has been over the last year...........

So here is the first........and hopefully of many more to come

Life is for Living :)

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right.

Forget about the one's who don't.

Believe everything happens for a reason.

If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.

If it changes your life, let it.

Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

FRIENDS ~

As we walk our path of life,
We meet people everyday.
Most are simply met by chance.
But, some are sent our way.

These become special friends
Whose bond we can't explain;
The ones who understand us
And share our joy and pain.

Their love contains no boundaries.
So, even we are apart.
Their presence enhances us
With a warmth felt in the heart.

This love becomes a passageway,
When even the miles disappear.
And so, these friends, God sends our way,
Remain forever near.

Simple vs Real

Anyone can stand by you when you are right, but a Friend will stand by you even when you are wrong...

A simple friend identifies himself when he calls. A real friend doesn't have to.

A simple friend opens a conversation with a full news bulletin on his life.

A real friend says, "What's new with you?"

A simple friend thinks the problems you whine about are recent.

A real friend says, "You've been whining about the same thing for 14 years. Get off your duff and do something about it."

A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.

A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their in his address book.

A simple friend hates it when you call after he has gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.

A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.

A simple friend, when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself.

A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.

A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after you've had a fight.

A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!

OBITUARY OF THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

OBITUARY OF THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who

has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was,

since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He

will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the

worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies: (don't spend

more than you can earn) and reliable strategies: (adults, not ,

are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but

overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year- old boy

charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended

from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for

reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the

job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly

. It declined even further when schools were required to get

parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a

student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and

wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became

contraband and criminals received better treatment than the homeless.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a

burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to

realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in

her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his

wife, Discretion; his , Responsibility; and his , Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is

To Blame, and I'm a Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If

you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do

nothing...

He will be missed...

The Night Visitor
As I lay on my bed, thinking about you, I feel this
strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because I
can't forget last night. You came to me unexpectedly
during the balmy and calm night, and what happened
in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me.

You appeared from nowhere and shamelessly,
without any reservations, you laid on my naked body...
you sensed my indifference, so you applied your hungry
mouth to me without any guilt or humiliation, and you
drove me near crazy while you drained me.
Finally I went to sleep.

Today when I woke up, you were gone, I searched for
you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to
last night's events. My body still bears faint marks
of your enthusiastic ravishings, making it harder to
forget you.

Tonight I will remain awake waiting for you.......
you damn mosquito.

My Light in Life
I look at life, and I get sad,
Other things, I do get mad,
But there are joy in things I do,
So much more that get me through,

The life I lost, Is still with me,
Suicide won't make me free,
There are three that love me so,
Each saturday, I babysit & see them grow,

My Brother chats with me each night,
Together, I know we'll be alright,
I have my mom, God left her here,
And I'm so glad I have her near,

My Friends, they love me & I adore,
All of them forever more,
I am so blessed to have the life,
God has made me, although I strife,

I know God is with me everyday,
Sometimes the tears go away,
This AP site I love so much,
Some days I get here in a rush,

My cyber moms, I love them so,
They're in my heart, wherever I go,
My cyber sisters, make me smile,
I wish that I could, for just awhile,

See these people that I love,
That give me wings like a dove,
Thank you for being a part of my heart,
My appreciation, I don't know where to start.

Deck of Cards

Here is a new way to look at a deck of cards!!

Deck of Cards

It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't been heard.

The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.

As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.

Just then an army sergeant came in and said, 'Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?'

The soldier replied, 'I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord'

The sergeant said, 'Looks to me like you're going to play cards.'

The soldier said, 'No, sir. You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country,

I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards.'

The sergeant asked in disbelief, 'How will you do that?'

'You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God.

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments

The Three represents the Father, , and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

The Five is for the five virgins there were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.

The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives -- the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy.. He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year.

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week - 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards -- there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter .

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for.'

The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, 'Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?'

Please let this be a reminder and take time to pray for all of our soldiers who are being sent away, putting their lives on the line fighting

Prayer for the Military.

Please keep the wheel rolling. It will only take a few seconds of your time, but it'll be worth it to read on....

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands.

Protect them.

Bless them and their families.

I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our servicemen and women all around the world.
