Today I am thankful :
My job
I am happy t0 be gainfully employed and making enough moolah t0 meet not only my needs, but also my wants.
And my don't wants.
*grumbles and mumbles* I don't want t0 go t0 the dealership tomorrow to have my entire taillight replaced because some asshole backed into my car [again] as they parallel parked(badly and ill-legally) [again] in the no parking zone in front of a fire hydrant.
Again!
But I sure am glad that I have a job that I like, working a company that I really like, making enough scratch do what I gotta do even if I didn't want do it.
*grumbles*The creeps couldn't even leave a lousy 20 under the wiper at least cover one if the lightbulbs a temp repair kit?? WTF
So yep, I is grateful that I can take care of what's mine and the damages I didn't cause with no struggle.

I am an equal opportunity hugger and firmly assert there is no such thing as a bad time, place, reason or way t0 hug.
I am especially grateful those head toe, body crushing hugs that seem like they could cause serious bodily damage but in fact does the total opposite, transferring support, strength and steady warmth of spirit through touch.

Today I am thankful for:
Long time friends.
I a few friends that I've known seems like pretty much forever.
Despite going weeks, months, even years without seeing each other, often passing by for a minute, electronically at best, never does the lack of time or space decrease the care or love.
When we do connect for whatever length of time in whatever manner, place or space, it's like no time has passed at all. Every. Single. Time.
The loyalty, attentiveness, affection and acceptance is , without thought or hesitation. Without grudges or pause. No calculations or tabulations. Just the grind and the love.
Not all are what I would classify as best friends, but they are all, without a doubt, the greatest of friends and for each and every one, I am truly thankful.

Today I am thankful for: Books & the amazing stories told on their pages
I could live without TV. I could live without movies. I could even live without the internet as long as I still had access to my county library.
Reading a good book is my entertainment and relaxation of choice. Some of the best thoughts & phrases have stuck with me for years and probably always will.
There are so sooooo many amazing writers in the world, but some just gave a way of phrasing things that get to the heart of everything. Stephen King is one. So is JK Rowling.
2 lines, both from the same book are still floating through my skull regularly even 15 years later. The latter may be my favorite quote of all time.
“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.”
“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it isn't real?"
I love a good book, especially a story with clever word play and endearing characters.
I have and have always had access to so many wonderful tales and for that, I am grateful.

They are so very, very rare and therefore.....precious.

I just binge watched about 20 episodes of COPS: Reloaded.
's the best of the ridiculous. I just could NOT stop laughing.

Today I am thankful because
I hate being assaulted by screamers w/ fliers as I go to vote.
I hate being crowded into a booth with a pen that barely writes.
I hate having strangers as the choice of people I working for my future.
I hate legalese so thick that I cant figure out if I need pick yes/no even though I KNOW what I want.
BUT
I LOVE THAT I THE CHOICE HATE THESE little THINGS bitch about AND I LOVE MY RIGHT VOTE.
I LOVE that the screaming is from smarmy smiling candidate supporters not frowning wild eyed enforcers of a warlord, religious extremist or dictator.
I LOVE those ridiculous finger condoms they give you to sign the electronic register.
Why I save them, I don't know, cuz they make my coin purse with at least 4 of them in it, like a with a needle dick fetish owns it.
I LOVE that I can NOT choose a candidate I oppose.
and
I am THANKFUL, truly truly THANKFUL that I live in a time and place where I can speak in public about my vote and my rights if I choose without fear and with hands on knowledge.
