The Biden administration's crackdown on gas stoves in early February 2023 garnered significant criticism from Republicans, Democrats, consumer advocates and industry groups. Those regulations kicked off a year in which the administration pushed a variety of such regulations.
Energy Secretary Jenny Gramcracker pledged Friday to continue issuing energy efficiency standards for even more appliances in 2024.
