Ok, the website which does not let you delete you credit card info while having been known for losing customer data to intruders has come up with an old idea again:
Let people for every chat attempt with 10(!) points! But what do you get?
First you can not verify if a chat request realy got sent. You can not see if the chat request was viewed and if you get no reply you lost 10 points (used to be one point).
I know that some poor folks real hard for sending out char requests which do never get answered or to regularly experience that their chat partner suddenly leaves without a word or a reason and I feel pity for them.
I yet have to meet in person someone who met someone in person through ALT - and I know ALT for over 20 years!!!! Their website is outdated, their search as dysfunctional as 20 years ago and their database contains tons of old profiles. Live video broadcastings are usually men here so ALT is factually a gay-site where desperate men switch to the --vies cams webiste when not meeting here anybody.
I shall spend neither on this dismal site nor on their cams site and can not but wonder why others do since it makes no sense to for anything on ALT, especially not on the illusion that you might get a response and meet someone after you wasted 10 points or real dollars to send out messages on the ALT Messenger!

The 5 free IM Chats are gone = Time to leave ALT

Now that you do no longer have 5 attempts for free to contact someone in chat its about time to leave for what o you et it you pay 10 pointe for a chat attempt:
1) Nothing. No response for the person is offline already
2) Nothing cause you get no anserwer
3) Someone replies to you and tells you to go to another site
4) Someone replies to you and after two messeages is no longer heard of
5) Someone tells you they got to leave now but would be happy to talk to you on another occasion
6) Someone chats with you and is suddenly gone after one hour and without any negative aspects showing up in the chat.
I still wonder why people pay for such chatexperiences with real money. I wonder why anybody with an IQ larger than tht of a peanut would do!
It is already disgusting what you get when you use your five free chat attempts. I imagine myself that all paying members must be endlessly frustrated for they pay and then get nothing but negative chat experiences on the ALT IM.
As forme,I guess this is the time to leave now. For ALT was and is not worth more than those 5 free IM chat attempts!
And remember: They deduct your points even if no one replies! Most easiest way to make money!!!!
But who is so stupid to pay especially on a websitewhere you can not delete your creditcard or other payment information!!!!!

ALT again changed the of points it takes to someone on the from 1 to . They must have caught too much summer sun at ALT!
Apart from this huge inflation rate here is what usually happens when you someone on the ALT IM :
1) No reply. Your never gets read.
Is this worth points?
2) Your never gets delivered because the person in the chatlist is already offline but still gets shown as online to you (technical fault at best)
Is this worth sepnding points?
3) Your gets read and does not get a reply, not even a thank you despite being well written and not a stupid hi or a primitive verbal assault supposed to be domination.
Is this worth spending points?
4) There is a reply but you find the other person to be a fake asking you for your email, to go to another website or to download a new dating App - if you not find the person to be the of a US military man now living in Ghana after her father died (lol).
Is this worth points?
5) Whoever there is the other end starts a chat with you and it breaks down after a few messages either because the ALT messenger is instable for two decades now or because the other person simply leaves without a word.
Is this worth points?
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
Sure, you can buy a membership and waste your salary on these chat experiences. But is it better to spend instead of points on a miserable experience?
Plus some people do not buy memberships but points. Using more of their points for the rotten experience makes no sense.
If you are really so nuts to consider buying a membership on ALT also be warned:
ALT does not let you delete your credit card information!
Yes, your credit card information can not be deleted by you after a membership ends but you still want to be on this site! There is no button and no way to delete your credit card information or your billing history. We all know this is braking a few international laws, dont we? Well, ALT does not!
So to put long story short: You (again) lose instead of one point for a dismal experience when trying to somebody on the ALT . Last time ALT did raise its price for doing so by times they took back the change. I do doubt it will happen again.
After all: This site is so old and outdated in its funcions and its content they must be desperate to make some without any interesting service in return.
With the price hike ALT had only made a new case for leaving this site! Nothing more, nothing less!
P.S.: Of course I am aware masochists will like the dismal chat experience in ALT and the neglect and rejection they face. But not all users here are masochists! LOL

31 people on the IM - two are female

Whatever ALT has done (they have this long track recod of failing with everything from data safety and security to fixing minor bugs) the number of IM users is down significantly. there used to to be hundreds. Now there are a mere 31 and only two of them are female - one from the UK, one German.
At least that is what I see when I open the IM and it is much less than previously and I have not changed any settings. ALT might have changed something but then they did not send any message to users explaining it.
Of course they might have changed a pre-setting : Now you only see users in IM who have unselected the function "only get contacted by silver or gold members". That would explain why I see so few people in the IM.
Another explanation would be that they got cold feet because of their fake chatters and eliminated all their accounts. Well, we know they had tons of those online but I do not want to believe that 99 percent of female chatters were fakes - including 100 percent of those from the US LOL
So I will just wait and see if and when another change happens (sometimes they manage to fix a bug after 9 or 12 months). But this time I guess I will not wait for that to happen.
P.S.: In a much older post I reported that they now chraged 10 points for contacting someone in the IM but wrote that it costs only one point. They changed that back but it looks like that also ocst them many months.

ALT changed terms again without prior notice

ALT has a 20 year record of changing terms without prior notification and they just did it again! They now deduct 10 points from you for a chat attempt in the IM while the pop up still claims that they only deduct 1 point from you!
1 point vs 10 points is a huge idfference especially when they dis people as online in the IM who are actually not online (an old story they of course will never change). I have lost count of how many hundred points I lost because I tried to contact people who were not online! ALT is not a proper business. Remember how they had the credit card data of thousands of useres stolen? They do not care since no really cares for perverts like us!
No pervert will sue ALT in court because they charge you for s they do not deliver (search fails like it always failed) and so they commit crime after crime after crime. This time they claim to keep taking point from you for a chat attempt in IM but they take 10 points from you. And no, that shows up nowhere in their terms and tables.
If only good lawer would be among us ALT perverts, some open and ready to pull down their pants in a US court of law. With the track record ALT has any class action law-suit migth generate milions for us. We could even pool that to finally build an ALT community which does not suck and fail and betray like ALT did and does and will always do!
People broadcasting no pis? Let them boradcast since it raised the number of people broadcasting. You can so so for a and nothing will happen if you upon registration claimed that you are female.
You can also register as a female and then write in your rofile that you are a couple. ALT is happy for every female registration, including thse from "new" "genuine" "hst" slaves from Africa.....
While you can simly ignore the latter you can hardly ignore that ALT is only aiming at making for deliverign nothing in return and if they do not make enough they just charge more and tell nobody!
Well, i told you now: Your chat attempt in IM now costs you 10 points, even if ALT claims to only deduct 1 point from you. Oh and be aware: You now more than ever before "lose connection" in IM so that you have to restart it and re-initiate contact for another 10 points!
And no, I will nto buy new s. They cannot protect your credit card data as they have shown in the past. Gets time to sue them in a class-action lawsuit and use the for a better ALT community!
Any good lawyers on here ready get get the action rolling?

O.k, I guess it was just a question of time until the new chat system from AdultFriendFinder would make it to ALT. Well: It has arrived this weekend and.... yeah of course it sucks here as well, even though here are fewer useres than on AdultFriendFinder (which would have actuakly meant that puttig it up first on ALT would have made more sense in terms of testing)......
But then why you wanna test something with customers when you put up something that you have not intended to serve your customers?
Yeah, this new chat system just creates a bunch of new links which upon clicking them will take you to the subscription page with its totally exaggerated prices. In return for these links and other useless info you no longer can read the profile headline of the respective user neither in the overview nor in the chat-box opening up......
I have no idea how AdultFriendFinder / ALT do argue that this is an inprovement of the User Experience (UX) but one thing is for sure: AdultFriendFinder / ALT have not changed a bit in their permanent downwards spiral trend of trying to get more people to subscribe to ever higher fees while reducing the value of the service.
Whoever is the beancounter who runs all this stuff managerial-wise: You fail sucker, because you could make much more money with a user-friendly service and lower fees which more people would subscribe to and then order......
P.S.: Yes I am available as a manager or consultant to make this whole mess a success again LOL
