A Dirigible lost on the wind!

One soul, one life, and a shower of sparks.

Moving on trying to find my sister.

I found that the bunker was equipped with a shower and some personal belongings so I showered and freshened up and put on a sassy black dress I'd found and some slinky women's underwear that went halfway up my butt.
I always loved girls clothes and I used to sniff my sisters pink panties.
She caught me doing it but couldn't quite dob me in to our parents.
She used it as a leverage against me but that didn't change my ways and I bought my own when I got my own place.
I sat myself down in the small lounge room in the bunker.
It was equipped with some vids to watch and I put one in the machine.
I had found out from looking around that the previous occupant was into astronomy and there were many books here about astronomy, and he also used a telescope to make his own movies.
I was playing one that was taken out in the desert that zoomed in on the firey sun as it began to rise on the horizon.
I wondered why no-one had done that before as it was really spectacular and the music that played to it was perfect to express how ironical it was that we'd never noticed the sun in that way.
I relaxed for a bit as the others talked and smoked in another room.
I was just left alone to my own devices and soon nodded off in the comfortable lounge chair.
When I awoke it was a little after twelve and no one was about so I got up and looked around for anything that could be useful.
I found a small luger in a holster hidden away with some boxes of shells so I put it on then put the extra shells in my bag then the dress over my top then snuck out and made my way across the barren landscape by compass wearing those sexy undies and silky long dress.
It was very distracting that way and felt beautiful to feel the cool night air and odd breezes as I keep to the course I'd worked out by the stars.
I thought I'd find people around somewhere that I could ask if they'd seen my sister.
I'd provide a description and tell them she liked candy corn painted fingernails Tunnocks tea cakes and sweet Spanish chewing tobacco.
It had recently come back on the preppers black market.

The apocalypse, a sweet smell or a race to the finish line.

That's what I was thinking as I opened the preppers half filled jar of jam (jam is a more unrefined form of jelly) that had sat on the shelf for God knows how long and when I opened it and took a smell of it I was confronted by the smell of the old wine we used in church ceremonies.
It was delectable unless you were tempted to eat it , then you had a race to 'the finish line'.
I didn't want that as I was new here and wanted to gain trust with the others that were here.
They'd found it first and there were plenty of questions about who'd built and stocked it that could be answered if I looked around.
The surface was dangerous and many only traveled during the night to avoid detection.
It was on such a trip that I'd been on to find my sister when I found them.
They took me in as I looked like a nice b*y who'd accommodate their needs.
I was actually from a religious sect away off to the hills and they pried information about it from me and even asked me to make a map of where it was.
This I did marking the position of the water hole as well.
Then I set to work to right the confusion in the bunkers 'galley' and set out the so far unused cutlery and table ware for our meal.
I chose from a wide variety of canned products and settled on using a can of Minestrone soup with tomato soup with a can of fava beans to increase the protein.
It proved to be a winner and they ate it with gusto.
They enjoyed my manners and even commented on the white glow that filled my presence and they wanted to know how they could get it themselves.
I just commented that it was a flock of doves that gave it to me one morning in the church grounds.
It was later on that they found I could be of some use to them......Skinny white guys were the best kind they said.

Poodles are smart. Best to not play poker with a poodle. I was having a night out at the pub when the Olympics was playing on the pubs TV. Everyone was excited as Rohan Browning took his position at the blocks. Well he got his best time in the semis with a 10.01 beating his personal record. Beating 10 seconds in the hundred meters gets you into a very select club.
The commentator mentioned that Rohan had complained that poodles were faster. What? Did he mean the pinky poodles that poke their heads out of handbags? Or maybe there was racing poodles. It's becoming a thing in Canada I've heard. It takes 52 steps to run 100 meters, fuck up any one and you won't break 10 seconds. It's like trying to break a brick wall with your head. I loved how towards the end of the competition it started to rain. I love the rain.
It bucketed down. I expected it to rain cats and dogs. Don't step in that poodle! Those things can hunt you down.

Jacoby says it's time for a field trip. The weather is superb. He found a large headed mushroom. So amazing how this place recovered after the drought. I'm taking a metal detector this time to hopefully find some gold . Jacoby seemed shocked when I suggested I get my ears pierced.

He said he could tell what a bitch was like by the earrings they wore. I agreed that there was an element of symbolism in what jewellery people wore. I liked some of what the female athletes wore at the Olympics. One sprinter had gold triangular earrings and wore butterfies in her hair. I ordered some flourescent nail polish from ebay. A wicked soothing light blue.

Next morning Bree and Shona hired some horses and went riding along the coastal strip of land that divided the lake and the ocean. The track was quite narrow in places skirting the tangled branches of Tea Tree and the occasional Banksia.
Once they had cleared this there was a spectacular view of the ocean and they could not wait to plunge into it on their horses. Shona's riding britches got soaked so she took them off and left them hanging on a branch to dry out while she rode around wearing no bottoms at all just wearing a blue T with the words hug me printed on it which made Bree chuckle. Bree had had the good sense to wear some shorts.
some pics of Wilsons Prom, you can't ride horses here as it is a National park.

Shona wondered if what she had just witnessed was connected to the pendant with the dragons face and bright ruby eyes. She had learned a lot about rubies recently through reading some library books about them.
Some referred to them as blood diamonds particularly the Burmese ones that were valued per carat at twice that of diamonds and some cultures claimed that rubies had healing and other powers. She quickly hid the pendant under her T shirt and resumed her chat with Bree's father. Shona asked him did he think there could be any mid 19th century Chinese ship wrecks around here. He thought for a moment before answering.
"Well possibly but as far as I know the only recorded wrecks of any kind here were much further down the coast." "Why Chinese in particular?" He asked. "Oh I just happened on some Chinese coins hidden in the sand and wondered how they might have got to be there."Bree's face took on a quizzical expression upon hearing this and wondering what Shona was up to. "I brought some to give to you to add to your collection of shipwreck stuff." Upon that she went to her bag and brought out a tea towel tied at the top that held about two pounds of coins and she presented them to him. He untied it and had a look. "Well thank you very much these will look great in my collection."
" They are certainly mid 19th century Chinese." He said then continued. "What could have happened is that when the government put restrictions on the Chinese immigrants because of some resentment against them on the gold fields that they then avoided the major ports and came in by the more out of the way places leaving them a longer over land journey to the fields so they were restricted to whatever they could carry." "So they just buried anything that they would pick up later." With that mystery solved they enjoyed some more sailing before they returned home.
Bree and Shona then went to Shona's moms house and borrowed her computer to check on the coin and were ecstatic seeing it had reached a little more than twelve thousand dollars. Bree hugged Shona with delight and Shona's mom emerged to enquire what the fuss was about. Shona quickly switched of the screen and replied."Oh nothing, we're just looking at some jewellery on fleebay." "That's all!"

He looked into those ruby eyes and this is what he saw...
The eyes became those of an eagle that parted its wings to reveal an unsolved riddle.
That time was in fact a plain that was broken and brittle.
Then the mantle shattered and all it contained got scattered.
To reside in some reckoning place.
Out there where time meets space.
Where impracticable beings furrow their brows.
With thoughts that would stimulate and arouse.
For in the end that's all that mattered.
Souls got bruised and clothes got tattered.
For what?
All this, the whys, the whatnot's and the ifs.
Were compounded to a vitriolic mist.
That was thick and could patch a hole in haste.
Then advise was given all too soon.
Turn your back on the Sun and worship the moon.
She stood before him resplendent in pink.
A queen from the desert he did think.
Returned again to rule over land and seas.
To admonish her enemies!
Suddenly confused shouts and voices brought him back to his wits. The heaving deck now broadside to the ocean waves. He then righted the tillage and drew back on course while he considered what had just happened.
Bree was then at his side. "You seemed to black out for a second, what happened?" She demanded. "Oh I don't know he replied." "I must have been day dreaming." He replied.
